The pre-vlog prep

Here I go getting my "set" ready for my video blog. I ordered this background specifically for this purpose. It's the background to my logo/business cards...you like?

OMG!!!! I'm soooo geeked!!!! HGTV Design Star is Here!!!!

IT'S HERE!!! IT'S HERE!!! IT'S HERE!!!! This moment is bittersweet! Although I'm super hype about this season, I am a little disappointed that I am not being featured, but that's okay. My philosophy in life is to turn lemons into lemonade! Therefore, I've designated myself as the official "armchair design star." I figured since last year I was the geek that spent hours surfing the web reading the blogs and watching and re-watching the episodes only to dissect them (and yes, I know that sounds a little psycho), I will invest that time doing my own blog and video blog. So. Stay tuned for my fourth non-celebrity (yet anyway :) judge's critique.

OK Seriously...

OK Seriously, I'm so excited and shocked! I just googled HGTV Design Star, because I know it's about time to see the losers (I say that in a loving, yet bitter way) who beat me out (again, for the forth season) this year, and I must admit (gasp!): although I'm heartbroken that another year will go by before I have (yet) another opportunity to blow the judges away with my amazing ideas and mad design skillz, I'm sooooooo excited about this season! Genevieve Gorder and CANDICE OLSON!!!!! OMG!!!! I love them!!!! I'm so "glory hallelujah aman church!" type of happy to learn a bit more about them (but not in a stalker type way) because their design is off the feakin radar! So (as I gain my composure), I will take this additional year (that I didn't get picked) to further hone my talent (that is obviously so rare that even the HGTV judges can't see it) and be an armchair Design Star blogger (did you notice the casting call for that new HGTV show, Armchair Designer...sounds groovy!....but I can't audition because, well, "it's for amatures"....AND ALTHOUGH HGTV DESIGN STAR JUDGES DON'T YET see it, I am a professional!!![clear my throat]...that will hopefully, one day, in real life, get picked as a contestant on Design Star!!!....[sign].... I'm not bitter, I just better...that's all! That's my new motto, and my mantra for starting this blog this season!!! I figure it I can't join them, I'll gossip about them....it's cheaper than therapy....)
